At Article 29 of Government Emergency Ordinance (GEO) no. 80/2013 regarding judicial stamp duties, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 392 of 29 June 2013, as subsequently amended and supplemented, after paragraph (5) a new paragraph, para. (6), is introduced, with the following content:
“(6) Requests for divorce and partition of jointly owned property are exempt from the payment of judicial stamp duty when they are filed by victims of the offence of domestic violence, as defined in Art. 34 letter a) of Law no. 211/2004 on certain measures for informing, supporting, and protecting victims of crime, as amended and supplemented, against their aggressors.”
